Insights: Turn Your Fundraiser into a Live Virtual Event
Add a livestream to your fundraiser to boost donor engagement.
Adding a livestream to your fundraising Experience helps you reach a broader audience, engage with your donors in creative ways, and raise more money. You can add a livestream to any Experience, including a-thons, live events, sales, and raffle or sweepstakes drawings.
Ways to Use Livestreaming
- Host live events that showcase speakers, present awards, or provide live entertainment.
- Stream competitions like pushup-a-thons or spelling bees.
- Hold raffle or sweepstakes drawings and reveal the winners in real time.
- Run an auction and let viewers bid during the livestream.
- Host sales that walk your audience through the offered items, QVC-style.
Encourage Donor Participation
Consider adding elements that help donors feel directly involved with your cause:
- Trivia that allows donors to answer from home and see the results onscreen.
- Surveys that let everyone share their thoughts and opinions.
- Featured donation amounts that encourage donors to give at a designated level and show exactly how their gift will impact your goals.
- Spotlight feature that draws attention to auction items, raffle prizes, or sale items to build excitement and boost sales.
- Live donation and comment feed that lets you thank donors on the spot and inspire more giving.
Livestream Features
- Share your livestream with as many viewers as you like.
- Host up to 25 presenters at a time.
- Choose whether to require a ticket purchase to access your livestream.
- Livestream as many times as you like, up to 2 weeks after your event date.
- Optionally send a notification email to donors before every livestream, letting them know you’re about to begin.
Good to Know
- You can add a countdown timer on your Experience Page that displays the time and date of your livestream event. However, once your event date has passed, the countdown timer will no longer display.
