How-to: Require Donors to Buy Tickets to Your Virtual Event

Enable Gated Livestreaming to admit only registrants with tickets.

Gated Livestreaming allows you to re-create the exclusivity of an in-person event and raise additional funds for your cause. 

Enable Gated Livestreaming 

  1. Click on Experiences in the left menu.
  2. If you‘re in list view, click on the experience title. If you're in grid view, click on the experience image.
  3. Click Experience Setup*.
  4. Click Basics in the timeline at the top.
  5. Select Live event + online activities and click the toggle next to Paid Admission
  6. Scroll down to add the Livestreaming feature by clicking the toggle, so it shifts to the right:
  7. Click Livestream in the timeline at the top.
  8. Scroll down to Enable gated livestreaming and click the toggle, so it shifts to the right:
  9. Click SAVE at the bottom of the page.

Attendee View

When donors purchase a virtual ticket, they receive an access code that allows them to view the livestream.

When attendees go to access the livestream, they’ll be prompted to enter their code. If they try to access the livestream without a ticket, they’ll get the option to purchase one on the spot. They can purchase tickets as long as the event is live.
