How-to: Allow Supporters to Fundraise for Your Organization
Permit a supporter to run a fundraiser for your organization while still ensuring you have complete oversight.
There may be times when you're contacted by a supporter or company requesting permission to fundraise on your organization's behalf. If you like, you can add them to your RallyUp account as an Advocate, which will allow them to create RallyUp fundraisers that automatically match your organization's branding settings. The funds raised will also be sent directly to your Stripe or PayPal account.
Before You Begin
- If you haven't already, be sure to complete these steps before inviting an Advocate:
- Register your organization: How-to: Get Started by Creating an Account and Registering Your Organization.
- Set up a Stripe or PayPal to receive the funds raised: How-to: Set Up Direct Funds.
- The advocate will not have access to your organization account settings, only the Campaign Setup menu.
Invite an Advocate
- Click on ACTIONS and select ADD ADVOCATE.
- Enter the advocate's email address, check the box next to I authorize this person to start a fundraiser for [organization name], and select Invite:
Good To Know
- Once you invite them, the advocate will receive a link via email to get started.
- Raffles and Sweepstakes have legal requirements depending on your geographic location. Please be aware of any legal requirements in your area regarding these Campaign types.
- You’ll be able to view, manage, or edit the fundraiser at any time. Feel free to reach out to your advocate(s) to suggest edits to the fundraiser or require specific terms to be listed.
